I can't see why this should be illegal in the USA. After all, this is the country that invented Coca Cola. If they will drink that, you'd think spunk in the water would be considered relatively wholesome.

It's sad but in this country (uk) most comedians will have a crack at americans. Everyone joins in the laughter - it's expected.
No one dares to stand up and say "wait a moment - that's not fair, you're only saying that to get cheap laughs and warm the audience up - What a pathetic comedian"
(mind you they do it with the french germans aussies.. etc. )

If you are going to do insults about the US as a stand up then it is only fair that your act is about how most countries can be stereo typed in 'amusing ' ways including ours (or the one I live in or whatever meh ) Merkins Do seem to be neurotically proud of their country though which is maybe why taking the piss can be funny .
