Oh yeah, $221K in 2007 is poverty in the Senate. :funny:
With those thousands of new IRS agents, will they be chasing down bank transfers over 600 bucks? Or Senators who got rich while in office?

The fine-grained data analysis used by walmart to target ads, should be weaponized against politicians on the take. Of course, even the 'ethical hacker' community balks at it for some reason...

Ah, once again you display your innocence. Senators who get rich in office break no laws. Well, the smart ones don't.

i suggest you contemplate the fact the the people who make the laws make the loopholes too. :prof:
The twitter account following Pelosi's investments was shut down. Shame too, as her family does SO much better at investing than the experts.

She has nice jugs though, so she'll be treated well, while irrational losers will declare a ridiculous and fake value on Mar-A-Lago to prosecute a dude who LOST money during his political career.

Yes, I've heard this one.

THIS time, they've got him.

Couldn't get him as an Epstein Client, but this Democrat A.G. will be the one to get him.

Fairly and objectively.

Cunt doubts he'll go down on one hand (the law will fairly find him innocent of alleged crimes), and on the other will claim it's a political stitch up if he does go down. There's some dissonance there.

I said "the law will take its course", not that the cases against him will naturally succeed (although I think that's likely)

Hopefully you've read where I state (in several posts) that the American penchant for legal figures to be overtly partisan (Democrat or Republican) is dangerous. It means that the reasons for seeking a prosecution, or the final judgement in a case (particularly a case with political elements) can be seen to be biased. That does not automatically mean that it is biased, but it muddies the waters greatly.

To me it seems that the cases brought against him have merit objectively, but even a dispassionate analysis by neutral fact checkers will not change the mind of a one-eyed Trump supporter.

This has a familiar sound to it...
In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our Country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American Dream. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within. Despite the hatred and anger of the Radical Left Lunatics who want to destroy our Country, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Yes, I know you'll think so.

I also know you can see some of the bias, and some of the appearance of it.

Now, since Mar-A-Lago is such a clear example of someone getting the facts WAY wrong, which do you think is closer to the actual value? Or does it only matter which side gets to 'win'?

The only bias that is likely is that prosecutors who are Democrats may be more strongly motivated to prosecute Trump than other cases. I don't think this is a good thing; it is a stupid consequence of a deeply flawed political/legal system. Ultimately, however, it will be the legal facts that decide the issues, not the zeal of the prosecutor. And, just like any other accused person, he will have the option of appealing against decisions made against him. IMO, he would be wise to make such appeals a matter of points of law, not accusations of political bias...

Like marxist dreaming that THIS time, it'll work because all those other times weren't REAL communism
Yeah, that's one of the many things Marx got wrong. He noted that capitalism was in crisis in the 1860s but he thought it would all fall down by the end of the century - when in fact it just changed and the power dynamics shifted. We saw the same after the 2007/8 crash - it all fell down but governments made sure the banks and the corps were ok.

So my question about the value?

Do you believe the Trump org and the bank that was lending to him? Or the justice systems claim 18 million?

You see, the American people are MUCH smarter than Crooked Joe! They see what is going on with a Corrupt & Racist New York State A.G., and a Trump Hating Puppet Judge willing to do her dirty work, even as it takes him, and his reputation, to new levels of low. They fully understand the Obama appointed, Radical Left D.C. Federal Judge, who refused to recuse, fully “gagged” me, and set a trial date THE DAY BEFORE “Super Tuesday,” the biggest & most powerful day in the Primaries. They get the fact that A.G.
