Nice bait and switch. I see what you did there. How can it be defeated but not terminated? And can you provide critically robust evidence of its defeat? Some of the world's top physicists disagree with you.
In philosophical terms it had been shown to be flawed,so it merely restated its objectives.
Philosophical terms? In what respect can a mathematical construct be philosophically flawed?
And [sic] argument can be won or lost but an opinion or faith based statement can never be so defeated without evidence, that is the fucking point.
Except, of course, that M-Theory is not an argument. Nor is it a faith-based statement. It's a mathematical construct rooted in empirical axioms. It's a line of enquiry, and no more. That's what a hypothesis is.
the probability of life existing elsewhere in the Universe is not 1? What reality do you live in?
The reality which cannot be defined out of existence. Let me explain this in simple terms.

In every single instance so far discovered of a planet with conditions conducive to the arisal of life, life has arisen. This renders a probability of 1 that, given the right conditions, life will arise. Elementary probability calculation, this.

Ninjasocks, you have twice told another member to shut the hell up, violating the 'play nice' policy, and now you've added a personal attack. If he continues to troll me I will continue to respond. What are you going to do about it? Is a better question, tell him to shut the fuck up and stop talking utter shit at me while you're fucking at it why don't you. :mob:
People are free to post ideas that you consider to be "utter shit". No one is free to resort to personal attacks. Tigger posted a link to the rules above. Please have a look at them. You've had a reminder now. I hope that's the end of it.
No it isn't. I want to know what you are going to do about this troll, not about me?

I've had a fucking reminder of what? That you are taking his side because he's a fucking clown. Yeah whatever. Why should I take you seriously, you aren't even doing your job.

So you agree with this guy that faith based assertions are paradoxical. Oh please.

Ninjasocks, you've been told enough times. If you continue you will receive a suspension. This is a warning of imminent suspension if you continue your abusive behaviour.

Like i give a fuck. :funny:

Do something about this fucking troll.

Calling someone who is a self confessed clown is not insulting them, it's agreeing with them. God you people are fucked up.

Still what can you expect from someone who never grows up or surrenders, you're obviously a armour plated grade A child by your own admission. I agree with you.

Well, in my defence, I thought he was somebody else from the get-go, namely the former member of RDF known as The Damned. He also banged on about the Copenhagen interpretation, and used the same avatar.

It's a toss-up whether String Theory, Climate change or the entire philosophy forum are the most aggressive and weirdest places on Rationalia... :nono:

a topic ready for an update? :ask:
In the year 2010:
Golden ratio near 0 Kelvin observed. Predicted by E8 http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/a ... 7/5962/177
Spontaneous parametric down conversion.
Bosons: Blue + antiblue → 2 red + (some rubbish).
Fermions: Beauty meets antibeauty and more matter than its anti emerges. CP violation. Observed.

Minimally supersymmetric extension to the standard model, probably.

At least we can now rule out some of the more esoteric models that couldn't get these results if they tried forever. Like theism and other cultish behaviour.
:pop:

edit: typo.
