Didn't like the modern country music scene. Who does?
What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

Is this a chink of light? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-41506613

Congress' most powerful Republican says lawmakers should examine "bump-stocks", a rapid-fire accessory used by the gunman in Sunday's Las Vegas massacre.

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan told a radio talk show: "Clearly that's something we need to look into."

Texas Senator John Cornyn - the number two Republican in the Senate - has called for hearings into the devices.

A bump-stock attaches to the butt of a rifle, allowing the weapon to fire close to the rate of a machine gun.

Stephen Paddock, the gunman in Las Vegas, had fixed the accessories to 12 rifles.

Isn't that gorgeous? I'll take one in 30 06 and one in 45-70.

Ain't cheap, though. The all-weather version (shown) is between $800 - 1000 from online discounters.
Nice (no use for it here, though). And actually surprisingly cheap. I know a couple of people who paid way more for air rifles.

Looks like shitwad was planning and thinking; perhaps wasn't quite ready for the larger Las Vegas music festival and decided on a target of convenience.

'Las Vegas Gunman Scouted Locations in Boston and Chicago, Officials Say'
The gunman who massacred dozens in Las Vegas researched possible attack locations in Boston and Chicago, multiple senior law enforcement officials briefed on the investigation told NBC News.

Stephen Paddock's potential targets included the most recent Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, which was held Aug. 3 to Aug. 6 in Grant Park, the officials said. Paddock, 64, went as far as booking a room in a Chicago hotel but did not show up, the officials said. Among the thousands of people who attended the festival was Malia Obama, daughter of former President Barack Obama.

Paddock also did online research on hotels around Boston's Fenway Park, a senior law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the matter said. Most hotels in the area, however, have an obstructed view of Fenway — or no view at all.

...

Authorities are also investigating whether Paddock rented several units at a luxury high-rise overlooking a bigger music festival, called Life Is Beautiful, the weekend before Sunday's slaughter, a law enforcement source said.

Seeing that this thread, like all the others on the forum, has become a cesspool of gormless buffoonery, I'll check out with these three erudite commentators. They express the situation better than I ever could. Luckily they're not members of such forums, and so don't waste their time trying to persuade web-bots and paid-per-post government shill operatives:

It's actually easier to unthinkingly call every major event a conspiracy theory.

Sherlock Galaxian, maybe they have the right idea! Post videos explaining your brilliant theories on widely available sites like YouTube rather than trying to convince a tiny cesspool of brainless buffoons of your insight. We're never going to get it. It's hopeless here.

Best of luck! :D

For the conspiracy theorist it's far easier to imagine and invoke some supremely powerful, controlling, and malign agency than actually deal with really difficult business of addressing these issues head on and in context. This kind of thing happens over and over again not because some shady figure willed it, but because society keeps pushing it aside and making excuses.

Galaxian's ramblings are the contemporary equivalent of fearful cavemen blaming an angry forest sprite for poor hunting.
