Yes, but we also have the latter half of "genitalia" in our name, so it all balances out.Pappa wrote:Shhhh.... we have "rational" in our name here too remember.Gertie wrote:To differentiate between the two is irrational, especially on a forum with "Rational" in its name.

Gotcha.JimC wrote:Well, perhaps it is all about what we mean by the word critical. I mean a fairly measured, unemotional critique, which does not imply any real animosity, but does express a preference for the style of this place. (I'm a member there in theory, but don't end up posting there much...)
Same here, but it has nothing to do with their modding style. This place is just a lot more funner to me.

Not enough smileys and they don't have anybody like pawiz/sockfuckit who both deserves and welcomes the appellation 'token forum twat'. Ratz is more funner to me because I don't feel like I have to present myself as being of superior intelligence all the time.Seraph wrote:The difference being?FBM wrote:Same here, but it has nothing to do with their modding style. Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

I'd imagine that most simply move on to a forum more to their liking w/out tossing aGhatanothoa wrote:They get banned if they aren'tNineOneFour wrote:Yes.FBM wrote:rEv, like I said before, I don't post at RatSkep much, do you think the majority of the members there are satisfied/happy with its moderation?

But the numbers may be unknowable because they simply move along without posting much until they find a place they like.

Edit: Compare that to what happens here at Ratz. How many people have signed up compared to the number of people who post regularly? A lot of people don't find what they're looking for and quietly move along. I don't find anything to be upset about in that.

Hmmmm?
Yes, and there's two of them right now.
Do you have any idea what you're talking about?
Hint: no.

Re: A Possible Change In The Rules
I don't think so. My point is that we've gravitated here because we like to play more than we like to compare IQs. In my limited experience, the balance swings in favor of IQ-comparisons over there. I like to play more than I like to compete for highest IQ, so I'm here more than I'm there. But I don't hold it against either the membership or the staff at RatSkep or TR because of their preferences. It just is what it is, and I don't see a good reason to expect or demand that it be different.Seraph wrote:And none of that has anything to do with modding style?
