No worries, mate

OK, I thought that something weird was going on but thought it was an edit.
Thanks for clarifying.

No, mods are in the same hole. Except me, because I've been around the internets, and I know what it is about. I hate Wank Fnoglets in general, so I refuse to let my words be filtered.Durro wrote:Hey, how did you do that ? Are Mods exempt ?Normal wrote:No worries, mate

The thing that's really going to bake your noodle later on is "Would the "ma-te" have turned into "I love PORK" if nobody did anything?"Durro wrote:Hey, how did you do that ? Are Mods exempt ?Normal wrote:No worries, mate

as long as :eddy : and :feck: are still the same then who cares I asked early on if Mohammed could could be filtered to "Paedophile Liar" ..... but since it turns up in lots of other threads they wouldn't listen to me

I think DP removed it for the duration of this game, but I'm not sure.

I can't edit my posts in the acronym game, either. Not that I need to, I just think that might be important info for someone if they didn't intend to block the whole game subforum.Feck wrote:Mephistopheles wrote:Ummmm...has the edit feature been removed completely?Feck wrote:I see the edit button has gone .....um testing

Or any of my posts in the pub.

Sounds like the scope of the change is too large, then.Mephistopheles wrote:I can't edit my posts in the acronym game, either. Re: lolcat Mafia Peanut Gallery
I think the fuss about editing posts has been a bit over the top - if we're trusting each other not to break rules like PMing each other, we can surely trust each other to be honest about edits. The only edit I made was to add a bit of text rather than posting twice, which I clearly indicated - and was just out of habit, that's what I do when I edit posts as a rule.
Now if there was a post that was edited hours after it's made - that's worthy of a bolt of lightning from Ceiling Cat.

I've fussed about edits but I am content to deal with them rather than prevent them. I didn't ask to have edit capability turned off. But I disagree with the length of time that makes an edit significant.virphen wrote:I think the fuss about editing posts has been a bit over the top - if we're trusting each other not to break rules like PMing each other, we can surely trust each other to be honest about edits.
