Second generation immigrants are dangerous...torn between cultures and languages looking for that simplification of a complex world and their place in it which radical Islam offers. Schengen is not extended to Turkey. Turkish citizens will not need a visa for short-time travels to the Schengen-Area. That is the plan.

Just like I as a German citizen can travel to the US for tourism or business trips without applying for a visa. There are still border controls etcs

He's talking about ISIS in Syria. I.e. predominantly Syrian. Unless Europe is extending Schengen to Syria, it is off topic.

The Turkish governments of the past were fiercely secular; the current government is paring this back, and seems to want islamisation by stealth. This, together with the corrupt nature of Erdogan's government, and their behaviour over Syria and the Kurds is fairly critical to such a decision...
