I can do better. You will die and in the after life there will be a method, scientific and technical, to bring you back if a court of law decides. What the tories object to (as I understand it - and I am playing a MASSIVE Devil's Advocate here!) is not the provisions of the HRA, but its interpretation by the European Court of Justice. They would rather decide for themselves whether or not they can lock up a terror suspect without trial, attach electrodes to George Galloway's bollocks, or make some raghead imam swim back to Islamistan with a scud missile up his arse. Seems legit.

Not just terror suspects. Anybody at all. In the words of David Cameron, it's just not good enough to be a law abiding citizen: "For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'."
