best to apologise pay the money then move on. As the world has far more important things to discuss than this which is really a
private matter between two people so nothing to do with anyone else. But in this digital age it seems all opinions must be heard

A nice warm day, working in the sunshine looking at birds and trees ? Paradise.

They should try working hundreds of feet down a cold wet shaft, lying on their bellies digging out coal with a pick.

Welcome to Wales.

While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

If the parents were told that they would need to pay for their child then this would make sense. Otherwise, they would pay it if the kid showed up, so charging them when he doesn't just seems petty and silly. That being said, why the fuck is this in the news? Sounds like a stupid spat between socially maladjusted parents, which is a pretty normal occurrence and doesn't seem very newsworthy.

Invoicing a party no show. Really. That's one straight out of the 'How to alienate your child from their peer group' manual for fuckups.

BTW, you owe me £3.74 for not replying to a very witty post about condoms I made in November. :tiphat:
Ah, I thought that was offset by your refusal to acknowledge a pun I made about Navy Officers in December?

I think that was the point of the article, to point out how silly people can be, which is old news but sometimes you've just got column-inches to fill with something. "All the news that's print to fit..."

I think its quite an interesting news story, its about the litigation culture. It's obviously not front page but definitely worth publishing

I agree. I think it points out how ridiculous our societies have become.

Yup. If I were the judge I'd dismiss the case with prejudice and assess about a thousand dollar fine against the plaintiff for filing a frivolous lawsuit.
