What else can business owners do other than protect their property against rioters and looting? The police can't and won't do it. You might want to check the law again. Open carry is legal in Florida and the fellows pictured were lawfully bearing long arms that weren't pointed at any person.

It's perfectly legal to use the firearm as a threat to deter an attack.
