Cam ye o'er frae France? Cam ye down by Lunnon?
Saw ye Geordie Whelps and his bonny woman?
Were ye at the place ca'd the Kittle Housie?
Saw ye Geordie's grace riding on a goosie?

Geordie he's a man there is little doubt o't
He's done a' he can, wha can do without it?
Down there came a blade linkin' like my lordie
He wad drive a trade at the loom o' Geordie

Though the claith were bad, blythly may we niffer
Gin we get a wab, it makes little differ
We hae tint our plaid, bannet, belt and swordie
Ha's and mailins braid, but we hae a Geordie

Jocky's gane to France and Montgomery's lady
There they'll learn to dance, Madam, are ye ready?
They'll be back belyve belted, brisk and lordly
Brawly may they thrive to dance a jig wi' Geordie

Hey for Sandy Don, hey for Cockolorum
Hey for Bobbing John and his Highland Quorum
Mony a sword and lance swings at Highland hurdie
How they'll skip and dance o'er the bum o' Geordie
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

What's that? There's a Steeleye Span song that starts the same way but I'm not sure it's the same... my tape is buried I don't know where.

You WILL be laughing after the vote. Today's odds : 3.5 to 1 against a win for fat Alex.
So if you bet £100, you'll make £350 profit.
But shit, if you bet £1,000 you'll be £3,500 richer.
But, just a cotton-pickin minute, if you bet ten grand, you'll make nearly a years wages.

Those bookies are in for a real caning. They must be mad.
Damn those infallible bookies!

Like in 2011 months before the Holyrood election when Labour were way ahead in the polls, and the bookies agreed. What happened a few weeks later ...? I can't remember.
Yes, the bookies don't always get it right. That's why they all ride bicycles.
But it's not really the same situation. In 2011, there was nothing at stake. It really didn't matter what they voted, nothing was going to be any different.
It's easy to change your mind, between two very similar choices.

I see EU Commission President Barroso has said it would be "difficult, if not impossible" for an independent Scotland to become a member of the EU. It's almost as if the Scotch Fundamentalists have been bullshitting all along.....

Yeh, I can understand why that would be.
The scots would NEVER have even wanted a vote, if it wasn't for the existence of the EU, meaning that they would retain automatic rights to travel and work in England.

But the same thing applies all over Europe. Any region can say that they want an independence vote, knowing that they are not cutting themselves off. What is now a trickle could become a flood.
You can see a lot of trouble ahead, from ''nationalists'' all over Europe.
If I was the prime-minister of Spain, I would make it crystal clear right now, that I would veto the application of any region that had split from the original country. They have the most to gain, from preventing a precedent being set. I'm surprised that they haven't said so already.

Of course, Salmond would just say that they don't mean it, and that they'd change their minds, when Scotland actually applied.

Poor wee Salmond says his boys have been 'bullied' by UK ministers in the debate now. Presumably Barroso has joined the list who are bullies by dint of telling the truith?

I think this is all Alex Salmond getting his excuses ready in advance.
I think he never actually expected the UK government WOULD want a common currency.
What he's doing, is preparing the ground, so that whatever the economic fallout from ''independence'', he will have someone else to blame it on. It sticks out a mile.

So, no matter what shit befalls Scotland, he can say, '' it's those bloody-minded English to blame ''.

He's a two faced (literally) git.
