yes, but scum would have gotten to kill you and her last night if they had targeted you? Why would they pass that up? You claim to be working for town so wouldn't scum have been scared you'd nk them last night? Wouldn't they also be scared that if they weren't killed by you that the seer might view them? Why would they risk both those things by not killing you? It just doesn't make sense for scum to take a game losing risk like that when with one kill they could eliminate the seer and someone with a nk that claims to be working for town.b.ternarius wrote:Because, for the love of Cthulhu, Athene can still be scum- killed without me being killed.

2 1/2 hours until nightfall
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Scum may have thought, as you do, that my tie with Athene is different than it is and might have a negative effect, and so chose to target mantis' protect.
Scum may have figured it was almost certain that town would lynch me, killing Athene, today, thus saving them the trouble.
Scum may have forgotten to, or decided not to, put in a kill.
But they don't have to kill me to win.

I also apologize, I did get a little heated there.Athene wrote:That was rude of me, I apologise.Uselesstwit wrote:Interesting, a condescending personal attack, both ignores the points I made and might be trying to egg me on like feck did to diva on day one.Athene wrote:meltdowns are just not pretty, pull yourself together dear and try for a bit of dignity.Uselesstwit wrote:I'm making an issue out of this becuase b.tern is acting scummy as hell.
is she flailing? oh yeah we've seen tons of it.
revenge voting? yep both trying to lynch me and probably trying to kill me last night.
used her nk's for town? nope killed 4 townies to 1 scum so far, and she just admitted that dp was almost certainly scum so? why she no kill him herself?
successful views of the seer she teamed up with 1 out of 5, seriously athene you must be one of the all time worst seers to live to end game and have only cleared one person.
Also look at last night from the supposed final scum's perspective. He has a chance to kill the sk that claims to be hunting him AND kill the seer at the same time and he doesn't? I'm assuming mantis didn't protect the sk and if she did that point is moot, but she'll know. but a scum passing up a target that is that much of a danger to him, that would also make this day round the end of the game seems farfetched.
I know you're sick of me saying this, but I keep coming back to our win condition, if all investigators are dead then we have won because that's what our win condition says we must do to win. We haven't won so there must still be an investigator.
I know what you're saying and if b.tern had played more protown you'd probably convince me, but she hasn't. If she had just held off the kill last night town would have the time to consider what you're saying, but she didn't. This is lynch or lose and you're self admitted to being linked to the sk so I can't take what you're saying without considering you might no longer be on our side.

and that's the problem b.tern. For scum to have done any of those things they have to risk:b.ternarius wrote:I am not scum, so I don't know.Uselesstwit wrote:yes, but scum would have gotten to kill you and her last night if they had targeted you? you not killing them
athene not viewing them
not getting lynched today
getting their kill tonight past mantis's protect.
if they had killed you all they would have to of done is not get lynched today, and since the final scum would be ksen in this theory, I think he would have taken his chance on generating enough wifom on me to sway mantis, instead of risking the nk and view.

Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 5
What is scum withheld their kill? If they did, they were betting on the fact that we'd be lynching her today... because if they did nk, we'd know they were out there and we'd probably be searching for them instead of her todayUselesstwit wrote: so basically she's town aligned when it suits her needs, that's not someone to be trusted. Also, I don't know who you protected mantis but if it was not b.tern, why isn't she dead? If there is a scum left the seer/sk team is by far the most dangerous to them, so why didn't they get taken out last night?

UT, the fact remains that I am not scum. Killing me will not advance your win condition if you are town, and will kill your seer as well, thus advancing scum's win condition.
So why are you not lynching scum today instead of chasing a phantom theory about my being a sole survivor or something?

hmmUselesstwit wrote:and if she lied about her role? For all we know she is an investigator that made up a role that would fit the sk. As for the wifom you seem to be spinning about me, why would I be fighting it this hard as scum. I could have let athene convince me about ksen and then had a nk tonight.

I made up a role and included the town seer in my plot? How the hell would I do that?

Mantis I just answered the why didn't scum do a night kill theory up above yours, I think it answers your question as well.
Because b.tern, it's because of you that we don't have the time to chase a final scum if there is one. If you had not committed a night kill against town last night we would be able to mislynch today and still have a chance. YOU took that option away from us, for you now to be using the situation you caused to pressure us into not lynching you is just about the most antitown thing I can think of.

Oh, I can think of more anti-town things I could have done. I could have killed outed town specials. I could have killed Oblivion or yourself to bring on the night when it was convenient for me. I could have killed Athene myself to take on another player that town would be even less likely to want to lose by suicide. I could have killed a known townie last night, Mantis, say.Uselesstwit wrote:Mantis I just answered the why didn't scum do a night kill theory up above yours, I think it answers your question as well.

My kill last night was accidentally not in town's favour. At least it narrows the field of unknowns for town.
Reason says: lynch scum today.
name someone before Nightfall for me to kill tonight.

Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 5
well what's done is done. if there was one investigator left, r.c was not a bad choice because we had you as the protector, ksen as tracker and then the athene b.t duo. Yea, it should have been skipped, but it was a gamble.Uselesstwit wrote:Mantis I just answered the why didn't scum do a night kill theory up above yours, I think it answers your question as well.

I just think we need to focus on the fact that there is another investigator and accept that Aza did not make a mistake in the win condition.
And I am still thinking that the last scum probably skipped their night kill for the very purpose of us not knowing that they are still out there. they'd have us kill 2 players today. they kill one next night, and they're at parity.
you brought up a decent point earlier that you are probably not the last scum because you could have just opted to vote for ksen today and have killed B and Athene last night. So there's that
..but then there's comparing that to ksen's claim and the fact that he would of had to bus DP. rc was still alive at that point -- instead of saying that he tracked DP, he could have said that he tracked rc and found that rc wasn't up to anything (because ksen would have known that rc was town.
So unless he kind of just made an error in that.. I don't know.
