So do I, fuzzy. Agree with you on that one.Fuzzy Fungi wrote:I don't know who is or is not scummy, but I do know that I really want to know what happened last night.

Re: Timebomb Day 3
the number of successful night actions depends on the success of the doctor's protect and the role-blocker's block. presumably the role-blocker is scum, though it's not a for sure. The block of charlou looked like a scum action. The block of MZ is kind of ambiguous - some of us think he's town and some don't.Bolero wrote:Sigh.irretating wrote:Ping. So it seems that no-one had points subtracted last night. Which means that whoever had the subtracting power either
a) didn't use it,
b) was blocked, or
c) tried to use it on someone the scum prevented them from using it on.
As of nightfall yesterday, I'd say Charlou and Ob were the most obvious points-subtraction targets, so can I ask if either of you ladies had anything "funny" happen to you during the night which might be construed as scum preventing you from having points removed?
I'm not specials hunting. If you must know, something odd happened to me last night, and I'm trying to figure out what it was. I think it's important for us to figure out exactly how many night actions are happening, and which ones are town, and which are scum.
What happened to you? Is there any reason to keep that secret?
Re: Timebomb Day 3
I was targeted again, and I'm now armed. I don't think it's to town's benefit for scum to know exactly how many points I received last night. It was less than 4 and more than zero.Fuzzy Fungi wrote:I don't know who is or is not scummy, but I do know that I really want to know what happened last night.

ok, i get it that no one else sees this the way I do. We have seen a "vig" hit seemingly being worth 4 points. Any scum player on 1 point and staying there indefinitely will beyond the reach of this vig. They cannot be armed. At endgame, whenever that may be, that player will win the game for scum. By having all players on a minumum of two points at least gets every scum on their toes. This is my thinking. I agree it also puts all town players within reach of a scum kill. But this is about strategy and I'm proposing this. Irre's strategy of playing as usual is fine, EXCEPT WE DON"T KNOW THE RESULT OF THE LYNCH.Uselesstwit wrote:right but i was talking about putting points on, which is looking like scum only power to me but mz has posted twice that scum should be afraid of being armed overnight. trying to figure out where that idea came from.oblivion wrote:there were the points of yours that came off.Uselesstwit wrote:why do you think that scum have anything to worry about overnight mz? so far I've seen absolutely nothing pointing to anything but scum putting points on at night.
Re: Timebomb Day 3
people claiming to have been acted on
ob - confirmed by the code letter change
ut - confirmed by the code letter change
MZ - claims to have been blocked
bolero - claims that "something" happened, but it didn't affect her point count
I'm skeptical of bolero's claim. the only "something" not involving points on night 1 that we know about was the block of charlou, and the night 2 block is accounted for.

I agree with this strategy, MZ. We particularly need iffy players at 2 ASAP to give our vig something to work with. Otherwise, we'll have to guess which hit was the vig hit and try to finish the person off the next day with votes.Magicziggy wrote:ok, i get it that no one else sees this the way I do. Re: Timebomb Day 3
that said, I'd be a lot more confident of cooperating with the vig if they hadn't fucked up on night 1.
Re: Timebomb Day 3
I'd rather not say exactly what happened to me last night (yes, that may look dodgy, but I do have my reasons), but IMO it was definitely scummy.
X-post oblivion. You're making assumptions about town roles. If charlou has protection power, then someone else has subtraction power. Therefore, there may be more than one block per night.

Re: Timebomb Day 3
but mz, no one got 4 points last night in case you haven't gotten that yet, and also no one but people that look town to me has been hit with night points with the exception of bolero who got a whopping one point. Your theory just doesn't seem to hold up in several different ways.

I disagree. More information helps town. Even if revealing your codeword makes you vulnerable, it doesn't matter. You're already dead.oblivion wrote:I was targeted again, and I'm now armed. But we know that Night 1 block didn't work because UT had points subtracted.oblivion wrote:there was no 2nd claim of being blocked on night 1.Bolero wrote:I'd rather not say exactly what happened to me last night (yes, that may look dodgy, but I do have my reasons), but IMO it was definitely scummy.

why are you so interested in the code words?
