Masons are an interesting role. Miller masons are twisted. THREE miller masons would ping in all sorts of ways, pro and con.
Re: V mafia day 4
I had no idea what it was until I was PM'ed with the role and had to look it up in the Wiki.

You need to move to a more mafia friendly TZ Rob. No falling asleep on the job. Lives are at stake.ScienceRob wrote:Well By the time I went to take a nap I had figured out the three scum, but I fell asleep thinking that Denny would still be lynched. I should of been less stubborn and switched my vote to DennyB.
(Well played btw)

With the millers and the don ani's role was as much a hinderance to town as a help but I left the option of the mass claim for the mason team to offset this.
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Re: V mafia day 4
I always find players asking if they can publish a pm in the thread to be scummy. The answer's always no. Just looks like a way to influence what people think.
The same goes for the wb in this case. Unfortunately, there were a number of trigger that changed my mind about Mort and DP despite common sense dictating that it was highly likely.

I have the same problem as well. Last night was an allnighter for me. Luckily had some real life issues to deal with as well at that time.Charlou wrote:Congrats scum .. mono, you played exceptionally well .. and Zigmen, you had me believing you were protown too, but oblivion had you pegged.
Thanks all for the game ... Ghat this was great fun.
I wonder if you might consider 24 hour days in future, Ghat? Both Durro and I were pretty disadvantaged this game. One night I stayed up just to play and paid for it in my RL the next day uggg
Re: V mafia day 4
on night three you should have block someone you thought was scum. That could have doubled as a tell as wellCharlou wrote:It's a real bummer that I wasn't around to answer these questions at the time, dammit ...
I didn't protect Ani because I would also be blocking him from performing his night action. On night three I should have though, but I didn't consider the possibility that scum would hit him .. I thought they'd go after me .. and I said as much in the thread .. That's two big mistakes I made right there. Really sorry Ani .. and sorry town. I hope I learned from this.Zigmen wrote:I have to go to work soon. Some of you may not appreciate that i put pressure on other players as hard as I do, but that's my game.
There's one question still unanswered:
Why didn't Charlou protect Ani at least once?
I'm all ears, and you guys have about 20 minutes to get me to change my mind.
Beyond that, my gut is still saying Mort/DP with a Charlou kicker.
Re: V mafia day 4
Holy crap, I'm still alive and....we won.
This was a really close game. If not for the flip of the coin I think you would have had us. Unless Mono could have won it on his own.
Thanks for the great game Ghat.
Sorry to all for my absence.

I did. You were very smooth and had me wondering .. but night three I thought from your gameplay you're either playing a really good scum game and might be the one to hit me, or vanilla town. If scum, the block could be useful, if vanilla town, nothing gained or lost. Reading your writeboard shows it was very close to you doing the hit instead of Zigmen, and some brief decision between hitting Ani or I that night. Had those decisions been different Ani would still have been in the game.mononoke wrote:on night three you should have block someone you thought was scum.
But, yeah, Ani would have been the better choice for protection night 3. Or Zigmen for the block ... Hindsight ...

Re: V mafia day 4
My apologies for being a crap substitute player. Real life has been busy and the time zones for the rounds worked against me too.
I was up last night strategizing with Blip about the ratskep mafia game and had every intention to log on early this morning and vote here before the end of the day round. However, a loophole in the ratskep game (that I'm co-modding) had been identified and had to be closed quickly. I got so wrapped up in unlocking threads for blip, skyping her and reassigning role names, that I didn't get here by the end of round. I was busy at work today too.
Sorry guys. I let the town team down.
But I will say that the scum team played a remarkably effective game. Well done guys.

Charlou, I composed a message making me the scum hitman but couldn't send it in timeCharlou wrote:I did.
