Chevy's sales puffery is as follows ---
Electricity is an extremely affordable way to power a car - the average American pays less than 12 cents per kilowatt hour. If the average American drives less than 40 miles, it will cost about $1.50 a day for electricity. That's about the same annual cost as running a common household appliance. To save even more, some utility companies recommend charging overnight for off-peak rates and may even offer incentives to customers who do so.

If it's really a dollar and a half a day, that would be amazing. But, something doesn't sit right about their numbers.

It would be better for the environment just to burn gasoline in the car. We need nuclear. Without it, we can't generate enough electricity for this to work. It's just not feasible.
I agree. I've been saying that for years.

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

How much trunk space do you get with one of those? Is it possible to put 3 carseats in the back? Hubby has a truck, but we'd like to get rid of it and get a car that the kids will still fit in.

There's plenty of trunk space for me, and it's remarkably roomy for backseat passengers. You can easily fit two carseats in the back, but no way could there be three. Like any other sedan or coupe, it's not really meant for five people unless three are squished together in the back, and that can't be done with carseats.
If you put the third carseat in the front passenger seat I suppose you could fit two adults plus three kids in the car. But one aduly would have to lie down in a fetal position in the trunk area. It's not so bad; being a coupe, the trunk has windows over it.

Please remember to disable passenger air bags if you are going to put a child's car seat in the front !
If I had known that this post would sit there for an hour at the top of the page I would have said something more interesting......

It's illegal for children to sit in a front seat with airbags in the U.S.

That's one of the reasons we're raising a generation of wimps!
Back in my day, kids would just roam around the vehicle, sitting or sleeping on the floor, etc. No seatbelts ever. And, mom and dad would smoke with the windows most of the way up.
Kids today....

A gentle reminder to direct your posts at arguments and ideas rather than individuals, please...
