Grammar, spelling, logic. All consistently of the same standard.
yes. I meant ockhams razor.

What's with the insults by the way?

Are you unable to contribute something to the discussion in a civil manner...or do you have a problem?
Are you perhaps going to insinuate that I have Aspergers? :hehe:

I pointed out that you have been consitantly wrong about what went on at RDF, have been shown to be wrong and have yet repeated your allegations.

The subsequent comment was a joke.

For someone who is quick to suggest psychological problems in people who have simply been angered and are venting, you seem to be awfully sensitive, both about the reaction to Dawkins/Timonen's actions, and to the hostility that your own attacks on the "RDF refugees" have provoked. Is no-one but yourself ever to be allowed to criticise others? And you don't respond to substantive points - or is that the whole point? Generate a bit of "manufactured outrage" and you can pretend that your argument has not been addressed?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think we've wasting more time with Fred Kite than his opinions deserve. Who's for staging a walk out of this thread and allowing him to get on with leaving us in peace? Image

You mean behave like homogenized, pasteurized, numbered and labelled regular atheists?

Why should I?

What does it prove?
That the horrible state of affairs you insist warranted the dismantling of a huge forum is actually par for the course, there are worse places, the mods were doing their best to keep things under control, and technical issues were really the main reason excuse for the forum overhaul.
there are worse religions than christianity, but, that doesn't make christianity okay.

I'm not saying the mods weren't doing their best, I'm just saying they have obviously failed in their task.

Ockhams razor: If the mods did their jobs well. There wouldn't be a problem. They didn't and there is.

there were other technical considerations such as bandwidth affecting the front page and the shop, but....it's disingenuous to suggest that 100% of the fault lies at the feet of richard and josh.

it also does not justify the vicious and personal attacks on richard and josh.

Looks like Fred "I'm outta here" Kite is settling in for the long haul!

If you are still unsure as to why some people are angry at the decision by RDF check out Cali's contribution here - http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... hilit=cali

I guess that might give you an idea of the feelings of just one of the many outstanding contributors to the forum.

Logical fallacy - correllation does not demonstrate causality. You keep claiming that the site changes are down to moderating failures, but the huge amount of site traffic, and the complete lack of any claim from Richard about the failure of the site until a retrospective, self-justifying and demonstrably misleading quote-mine of a few reactions to Josh Timonen's behaviour clearly show that you are wrong. Repetition of a failed argument does not make it a successful one.
it also does not justify the vicious and personal attacks on richard and josh.
As previously requested of you, what behaviour would be required from them before you would accept some few people venting as acceptable (or at least forgivable)? You previously said "nothing" - is this correct?

(I note that Shaker's Law is still fully in effect)

Can we get back to talking about cheese, people? What is the place coming to with all this waffle about regularity? If you're not a regular atheist, try syrup of figs - end of.

Syrup of figs is vile. As a child, I'd rather suffer extreme stomach cramps than take that stuff.

Fresh figs (perhaps with cheese), on the other hand, are lovely.
