Despite his difficulties since he left office, about a third of Republicans and Republican-leaning voters still consider themselves supporters more of Trump than the Republican Party, according to a recent NBC News poll. Many of them aren’t going anywhere. Fully 28 percent of Republican primary voters are so devoted to the former president that they said they’d support him even if he ran as an independent, according to a national survey last month from The Bulwark and longtime Republican pollster Whit Ayres. Indeed, the “Always Trump” component of the party is so pronounced that it’s affecting how Trump’s opponents operate around him.

Donald Trump says Fox News host Tucker Carlson 'doesn't hate me, or at least, not anymore!' in reaction to show about Capitol riot

All appears to be forgiven after Carlson broadcasted a misleading edit of Capitol riot footage.

Carlson's remarks came as a surprise not only in the context of the lawsuit, but also because of his long-time support for Trump — or at least Trump-style politics — on his show.

Fox News said the messages had been cherry-picked and presented out of context.

Trump's Sunday night claim that Carlson doesn't hate him after all came in reaction to Carlson's portrayal of 41,000 hours of security footage from the Capitol riot, granted to him exclusively by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Trump says everyone who sent him letters in new book ‘kissed my a–‘

“Letters to Trump,” set to be released on April 25, features correspondence between the former president and “some of the biggest names in history,” including Princess Diana, Oprah Winfrey, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, per Winning Team Publishing. The collection of letters will go for $99, or $399 for an “original signed bookplate edition.”
One letter included in the book reportedly penned by John F. Kennedy Jr. thanked Trump for visiting the offices of his magazine “George.”
