I used to track, apprehend and transport deserters for the USN. This guy went AWOL for the Naval Air Station at Memphis, Tennessee, and returned home to New Mexico. We promptly had him arrested and then flew out to Albuquerque, drove up to the jail, some 200 miles away, picked him up, back to Albuquerque, put him the jail there for the night, then flew to Memphis to return him to his base. Over night at Memphis and back to San Diego. A three day trip with well over a thousand dollars in expenses. Then the moron goes AWOL again as soon as he's out of the brig. Didn't bother waiting for his bad conduct discharge, he just left. So the whole cycle started again. This time I had my partner drive while I sat in the back seat with him.born-again-atheist wrote:Derivitive of this.
