Two weeks of paid sick leave to employees affected by coronavirus. This includes persons under quarantine, caring for someone affected, or those with children whose school has closed.
Affected employees are entitled to up to three months paid leave at two-thirds of employee’s pay.
Businesses will receive a tax credit for these expenditures.
Additional flexibility will be given to businesses of less than 50 employees.
Enhanced federal funding of unemployment compensation.
Enhanced nutritional assistance for children, elderly, or those with food insecurity.

Protecting Small Business
50 billion in low-interest loans;
Small business tax payment deferral for 90 days (filing deadline still intact).
Tax credit for paid sick leave.
Under further consideration: a very broad and big economic package of direct help to small businesses in dire circumstances, persons who need cash, as well as enhanced loan structures.

Brilliant move by Republicans in-light of the latest China virus. Can't have vital medical supplies made there when the next pandemic can be any time.

Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and Congressman Mike Gallagher (R-Wisconsin) will tomorrow introduce the Protecting our Pharmaceutical Supply Chain from China Act, which would end U.S. dependence on China for pharmaceutical manufacturing. The bill’s key restrictions would go into effect in 2022 and have no impact on the current coronavirus pandemic. No FDA resources will be diverted to begin implementation. Specifically, the bill will:

Track active pharmaceutical ingredients through an FDA registry.
Prohibit pharmaceutical purchases from China or products with active pharmaceutical ingredients created in China*.
Create transparency in the supply chain by instituting a country of origin label of all imported drugs.
Provide economic incentives for manufacturing drugs and medical equipment in the United States.

Details
The package eliminated taxes on the first $6,000 of taxable income for individuals and the first $12,000 of income for couples.1 A stimulus rebate check was mailed out to 130 million taxpayers, in amounts as follows:

Individuals would receive up to $600.
Married couples would get up to $1,200.
Those with children would be sent $300 per dependent child.
The Bush stimulus sent 20 million retirees on Social Security and disabled veterans a check. Individuals received $300 each while couples received $600 if they earned at least $3,000 in benefits. But those who were only on Supplemental Security Income did not receive checks.
The Bush stimulus program totaled about 1% of the gross domestic product.
