They call it "the artificial meat factory" but not visionary enough. They still use biological cells to produce meat-like or plant-like materials. Cells are just chemical factories. Why can we not just construct real factories that produce the different proteins and other molecules?

There are only two choices:

1. There is no God, then cells are a product of evolution and we should be able to copy what they do in factories after investing some effort.

2. There is a God. Not possible. So 1.

because creating food from synthetic chemical stock rather than using the traditional methods would soon exhaust the base material we can manufacture ? Animals and plants are better adapted at turning natural elements into edible material than our technology, and we already have a problem with overexploitation of natural resources, while living organisms feed on renewable stock.

1. Find out what chemical reactions happen in cells
2. Copy large-scale in industrial reactors

Unless you claim there is a God that created a mechanism in living cells that we cannot copy with our technology, nothing is preventing us from doing that and in result getting a system that will be much more efficient than what biological cells do.

sure we can copy that... eventually, our science is not yet quite ready to do it, and I'm not sure we can build machines that digest feed to make meet anytime soon, plus, the way you seem to conceive it, we'd have to extract raw elements, which are already rare and getting exhausted, rather than turning vegetable feed into meat like livestock do.

Yes Brian typical. Lost the argument so stoop to pErv's level. Sorry but disgusting. You find that funny?

Vegans are insane but you WERE one. Why did you stop if it was so perfect? You can never get passed the personal insult.

Nine sorry disagree. We dont have the technology in place to even attempt what you are talking about.

Veganism depends on us destroying the planet. They want their processed foods enriched with chemicals. They welcome GM products otherwise they would never get enough processed food. I dont hate them; why should I? They are to be pitied for their small brains and lack of stature. They suffer many problems that normal people dont have.
The lack of B12 is a major problem and one they dont like to talk about. The lack of iron.

Brian stop please with the personal insults and provide facts (like I have) for your case. A vegan diet is just like a fast food diet; it depends on processed (factory) food. Just how else can you make the meat substitutes.

Someone should start a McDonalds for vegans. The production is very similar.

We've got used to you hating everything, but you seem to have a extra special hate for vegans. One of them must have done something to you once...

LoLz. I didn't 'lose' the argument - you didn't make one. I addressed your points specifically, and you just ignored all that because you haven't realised that you need more than an opinion and repetition to talk about this seriously. I know what our opinion is. Everyone knows what your opinion is. Bully for you, you have an opinion. Well done. When you have something that addresses my points they you might have an argument and we we can continue the discussion. In the meantime I'm happy to have highlighted that some of your assumptions are false and that your strawmaning generalisations are fallacious, that vegans don't have power over your food choices and aren't controlling you or forcing you to make choices your rather not make, as you said they were, that some vegans have a coherent political and ethical stance rooted in animal and social justice concerns, which you're not obliged to agree with but you can't deny exist, and that your personal so-called 'natural' diet is something your totally pulled from your ass as a measure to judge others by. And after I explained I wasn't even a vegan, let alone someone interested in legislating other people's food choices, you continue to talk to me as if you've defeated my non-veganism along with all and every kind of vegetarian food choice while saying that my talking about what you posted, challenging your assumptions, giving counter examples, and asking questions etc is side-stepping the issue. It's laughable, really.

If you want to forward an argument in support of your position then why not try justifying something like why eating meat and dairy as part of a 'natural' diet is a moral obligation for all humans. I'll not hold my breath on that one though.

God spelled backwards is Dog, and they eat a lot of dog in Korea and China.

That's got to mean something.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
