Oh, this should go well. A place for all those free-speech-loving types that have been banned from Gab, which was supposedly welcoming to their love of free speech.

'Jordan Peterson Announces Free Speech Platform "Thinkspot"'
An upcoming free speech platform promises to provide users the best features of other social media, but without the censorship.

The subscription based “anti-censorship” platform “Thinkspot” is being created by popular psychologist Dr. Jordan B. Peterson. It’s being marketed as a free speech alternative to payment processors like Patreon in that it will “monetize creators” and also provide a social media alternative to platforms like Facebook and YouTube.

Peterson discussed Thinkspot with podcaster Joe Rogan on June 9, emphasizing a radically pro-free speech Terms of Service. He described that freedom as the “central” aspect saying, “once you're on our platform we won't take you down unless we’re ordered to by a US court of law.”

I have trouble believing this was an 'honest mistake' in any form. Or that Jones is an innocent victim. He brought this on himself with his vicious promotion of the 'crisis actors' conspiracy theory, and it's continued to be an ugly and sordid story.

'Infowars host Alex Jones accused of threatening Sandy Hook lawyers after child porn is found in his electronic files, court document says'
Electronic material that Infowars host Alex Jones turned over to the families of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims who are suing him contained images of child pornography, according to a court filing Monday.

The filing also accuses Jones of threatening Christopher Mattei, a lawyer for the families, and his law firm, during an online broadcast of “The Alex Jones Show” on Friday in which he angrily claimed that unnamed people were “trying to set me up with child porn.”

“I’ll get your a--,” Jones said, before offering a $1 million bounty for information that led to the apprehension and conviction of whoever sent him emails containing child porn.

Haters of free speech have provided yet another ideologue with a wonderful victim narrative. Perhaps great things lie in his future; first the CPAC, then on to a stellar career with the NRA or Breitbart.

'Parkland shooting survivor says Harvard rescinded his admission over racial slurs he made two years ago'
A Parkland shooting survivor and pro-Second Amendment activist said Harvard University rescinded his acceptance as a result of racist remarks he made before the 2018 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.

Kyle Kashuv disclosed the rescinding Monday in a Twitter thread, acknowledging that he and classmates, then 16, made "abhorrent racial slurs" in digital messages almost two years ago "in an effort to be as extreme and shocking as possible."
He wrote an apology for his remarks and posted a screenshot of what appears to be a June 3 letter from Harvard Dean of Admissions William Fitzsimmons, rescinding his admission.
Not posting the images--not exactly SFW--but examples of innocent youthful exuberance.

As shocking as those racial slurs were I don't think we should hold children accountable or responsible as adults. Children say and do naughty, and sometimes downright nasty, things to test the boundaries as well for the sheer thrill of it, and I think difference between a person at 15 and 18 is probably wider and more marked that the difference between someone a 30 and 40.

Agreed. However, Harvard can and does hold its prospective students to whatever standards it deems appropriate. That schmuck can get into plenty of other prestigious schools, and no doubt he will. I genuinely expect he'll join CPAC and make a name for himself.

Those leftist scum are putting cement in milkshakes now. Violence in self-defence against this underhanded tactic is now justified!!

'How a Dubious Claim of Cement Milkshakes in Portland Became a Right-Wing Meme'
A right-wing meme was born this weekend after Portland police said they’d been informed that Antifa protesters had pelted far-right demonstrators with cement milkshakes. Conservative internet trolls, including Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec and writer Ian Miles Cheong, pounced, tweeting that left-wingers were pelting people with cement drinks. Their followers ran with it, posting photos of concrete burns suffered by the demonstrators.

Except that none of it was true. There’s no evidence that the milkshakes contained cement. The photos were fake. And the police got it all wrong, and in the process birthed a right-wing internet movement based on a falsehood.

Here’s what actually happened: The Proud Boys, a neo-fascist group, held a rally in Portland on Saturday. Protesters aligned with Antifa, the anti-fascist movement, showed up, and some of them sold vegan milkshakes to other protesters. Throwing milkshakes, or “milkshaking,” has become a left-wing protest tactic, aimed at embarrassing the far right, and some of the protesters proceeded to pelt Proud Boy demonstrators with their drinks, according to reports.

No one seems to have actually been burned by concrete—at least no one reported evidence of it to law enforcement. So where did this idea come from? It started with a tweet from the Portland Police Bureau on Saturday, stating that it had “received information that some of the milkshakes thrown…contained quick-drying cement.” The police later told Willamette Week reporter Katie Shepherd that an officer at the protests had thought he noticed quick-drying cement on a milkshake cup, prompting the tweet.* The police subsequently received an anonymous email claiming that Quick Rete Cement Mix had been added to the milkshakes, the bureau told Shepard.

...

The stories spurred rage online against Antifa on the basis of something that very likely never happened. Misinformation spiraled further as one troll posted fake pictures about concrete burn victims on Twitter. The episode allowed the Proud Boys and their far-right allies to try to reverse the narrative and score sympathy points, instead of being chastised for their racism and support of fascism.
Just for the record, there is no such thing as 'Quick Rete.' There is a company called 'Quikrete' that makes several products. None of them are 'quick-drying.' Their fast-setting concrete sets in about half an hour.

I've never heard of "concrete burns". Is that a thing?

Yeah. Lime (calcium oxide) is often used in concrete as a binding agent and generates an exothermic reaction on contact with water. Skin irritation builds up over time and if left untreated can soon result in full-thickness burns.
