CNN
...Wednesday night, but four stood out above the rest. Elizabeth Warren won. O'Rourke lost. Bill de Blasio and Julian Castro likely surprised people in a good way. Booker had a moment when he personalized his answer on gun control, but mainly, he spoke the most but said the least. The rest of the candidates often seemed like background noise.

CNN
"...And the elephant in the room?
It is arguably the biggest question of them all for those vying for the Democratic nomination – how to deal with Donald Trump. Do you make him the epicenter of your presidential strategy, as Joe Biden, the current frontrunner, who will debate on Thursday, has done so far; or do you confine him to the dustbin of history?

The 10 candidates assembled tonight largely took the latter route. "

This is actually because 9 of yesterday's crowd are not going to be president. They were there to present an agenda for thei career. Points. Resume for a cabinet position. Etc.

democrat poll june 19.jpg
My guess is that come january it is going to be Biden and Warren going to home stretch. Some poor soul will sign up as Biden VP. Who may then actually be the future of the party. Sanders will go close to Warren but will not last past April 2020. People will be tearing their hair out: "twice you people missed it! Only Sanders can beat Trump!"

But that is what Sanders always does!
CNN
Sanders came off as just plain loud. Rather than committed, he came across as repetitive. And, even worse, there were large periods of the debate where Sanders seemed to just plain disappear. Sanders' worst -- and most damning -- moment? Moderator Rachel Maddow read him a quote of his about guns. Sanders responded: "That's a mischaracterization." Maddow retorted: "It's a quote of yours." The audience laughed -- at Sanders. Oomph.

Sanders is too old to be a viable canidate, we don't need a president to die in office... except maybe frump, but he's not doing us that favor.

Reddit comment:
"Biden is toast. Even if the media manages to salvage his rep after that abysmal display, he knows that he's not going to do any better when there are fewer candidates on stage. Bernie thrives when he has more time to respond, but Biden's worst nightmare is having more focus on him."

Whatever the fate of sanders, he will do more to knock out Biden in early months of 2020 if that is possible. he may even pave the way for Harris if that happens. I don't think people like Warren as much as they do Harris, or are just coming around to Harris.
