Pretty certain that cooking doesn't get rid of too much of the psilocybin - I've had 'em cooked, and still got the trip. But I always felt a bit sick during it...

You can cook them, but they're pretty vile no matter what you do with them. Peyote buttons are the same, fucking nasty stuff. But damn you get high.
