Rationalia relies on voluntary donations. There is no obligation of course, but if you value this place and want to see it continue please consider making a small donation towards the forum's running costs.
Details on how to do that can be found here.

The qānūn is a kind of trapezoidal member of the zither family, so you need to find someone specialises in zithers, dulcimers or maybe even harps. :dunno:

Thanks Brian, I was thinking of a harp too. It's a big city. I'm sure someone here works on them. If it's worth restringing I don't know.

Maybe find a good Turkish or Arabic coffee place and ask around. Try the basbousa while you're there. :D

Have one of these on the way -

preview.jpg

I can use it to assign pedals to activate virtual pedals within Amplitube, including wahs or pitch-shifters etc.

Looking forward to going darn-na-na, chicka-chicka, na-na, chicka-nar-na-na' chicka-chicka, na-na, chicka-NAR-NA-NA, CHICKA-CHICKA, NA-NA, CHICKA-NA-NA, CHICKA-NAR-NA-NA, without having to pause to click the mouse on the distortion pedal.

Finnish guitarist explains his gear. It is a custom made Ibanez 7 string. The vocals of his metal band are in Finnish. Apparently you need a 7th string. No idea how it is tuned. On top of the top E?
