They don't think they have a choice. They're wrong. Chick fil a is still doing great business, and they flat out did oppose gay marriage.
What are the odds Starbucks has anything like a genuine problem here?

I thought it was Starbucks going after themselves, not some outside agency giving them a hard time?Sean Hayden wrote:Starbucks dude, Starbucks, fucking Starbucks dude --they're going after Starbucks for its problem with racism? I'm taking crazy pills!

I mean, they are a really evil fucking corporation, if only based on their alleged coffee, right?

True, the coffee is nasty unless you get a sweet drink.
But I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess they don't have a racist culture. --annoying, God yes! --racist, uhm, no?

It did seem to be a bit of an over-reaction to that particular incident, unless other stuff has been brewing (along with the coffee) for some time.
Perhaps too few people are taking their coffee black?

Most indubitably
Starbeurk is an evil corporation selling evil tasting derivatives of overroasted coffee.

Re: Starbucks coffee. Any colour but black.
If I went into any coffee house, that had free wifi, toilets, etc. I would expect to be asked to buy something or leave. And I ain't black.
The main racial difference here is that most white people would probably have agreed to buy something, or wait outside for their friend, if not buying something was so important to them. Not having the option of screaming discrimination.
These two are assholes, if they expect to go in, take up a table, and not leave or buy something when asked.
If white people did it, they would be assholes too.
So unless Starbucks never ask white people to do the same, which I really doubt, it definitely is a storm in a teacup, because it's not discriminatory if white people get the same treatment.
Starbucks called it "unconscious discrimination" by the manager. That's a fucking joke.
If I was the manager, I'd have Starbucks in court in no time at all, for a million dollars in damages.
And the day off for training is a public relations excercise. All they have to do is instruct all managers to ask anyone of any colour not buying anything to wait outside, and not take up a table.
One forwarded email is all it needs.

"Brandon Ward, a black Starbucks customer in Torrance in southern California, posted a video on social media purporting to show an incident in January, in which he was barred from using a toilet - despite being a paying customer - while a white man who hadn't bought anything was allowed to use the facilities".
