I never stopped using roundup. When you read the wording of each scare article, it comes across a guesswork.
As in this case.
I've never seen genuine evidence of a real effect. And it's great stuff.

The other thing to bear in mind, is that it's far safer than the current alternatives. Apart from a huge increase in human menial boring labour.
The additives are harmless, so is glyphosate. Ehen you mix them, tjey penetrate cells. So it is useless to test the additives alone.

There are plenty of weeds that cause cancer when ingested. Less roundup equals more weeds in the crops.
So roundup-free food might cause more cancer than food produced using roundup.

Instead of testing it on rats, you need to compare one group of humans fed on roundup-free food, with another fed on food produced using roundup.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

There is almost no roundup in food. The issue is mainly the application, protection of workers and nearby people down wind.

Weeds in food is irrelevant. Unless you feed people goat milk, they will not be fed plant alkaloids. There are known cases of that, hippie moms posoning their kids.

Goats are great weed killers.

they are great at destroying any kind of plant life in their surroundings... it's sheep that are merely excellent lawn mowers.

How they do it is quite amazing. Big spiky brambles; no problem. Nettles; no problem. Must have lead lined stomachs.

Goats mow trees.

Bayer invented heroin. A new non-addictive substitute for morphine.

I have no doubt that roundup will go through rebranding, but monsanto is dead as a brand.

Don't drink any weed killer. That's my advice.

I know it's tempting. You see the five litre container, marked "do not drink" and you get an overpowering urge to drink it. You just have to fight it.

Glyphosate is an extremely useful tool in ecological restoration where invasives are present and other methods don’t work. It breaks down extremely quickly in the environments in which its used. Nothing is better at getting rid of poison ivy for example. However, it is never deployed in an industrial fashion. Always targeted with small hand wand-style sprayers.

It is only problematic where deployed industrially as a “kit” where farmers are locked into using a complete system from one source. Often over use can deplete soil nutrients and sterlize the soil of benefial bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi.
