Tim Farron stepped down as leader of the Liberal Democrats citing his Christian beliefs. In his resignation speech he said he felt “remaining faithful to Christ” was incompatible with seeking political office.

Theoretically on Wednesday, but it's still not 100% that they'll get the votes.pErvin wrote:When are you guys going to get yourself a government?

Re: General Election UK, June 8th...
Dont mention it! The results this time were too evenly divided. Three main parties who can easily agree need just 8 seats but finding a fourth is proving difficult. The Greens were invited but their inexperienced young leader was terrified of being in government. It has been three months now but that is real democracy. Everything is not perfect. I think they should go for a minority government. There plenty of odd parties that will support a bill by bill approach.NineBerry wrote:Even the Netherlands doesn't have a government at the moment!
