even my lefty oriented information source radio stations (they keep harping on how the next general elections in the UK could end up in a labour victory) states that while so many repbubs support frump, there's not s snowball's chance in a volcanic eruption of an impeachment getting started.

Did you know that the day Trump posted his 'tapes' tweet to Comey Pense filed a PAC application - basically declaring himself the head of a political campaign organisation? Just saying that the Republicans may already be hedging their bets and have more options than we might suppose.

It tapes of Trumps conversations with Comey exist they must exonerate Trump. If they don't exist, or if they do and he invokes some kind of executive privilege to avoid handing them over, or if he destroys them, then he's on a very sticky wicket.

Legal experts agreed that James Comey’s account of his nine conversations with Donald Trump earlier this year presented strong evidence of obstruction of justice and an attempt to bury an investigation into the Trump campaign’s contacts with Moscow.

However, there were mixed opinions on whether it would be enough for a conviction, or impeachment. Articles of impeachment would have to be passed by the House of Representatives, and most Republicans on Wednesday evening appeared to close ranks in support of Trump, despite the details of Comey’s statement.
