You don't need the card, just the adaptor, Zilla. Your video card already has two outputs.

Edit: hangon. THis is why you are a support service nightmare. Was that picture you showed earlier the equivalent of your current video card? Or do you only have the one dsub (vga) output? Either way, you don't need a new card. You can just get the splitter thingy, and it should allow you to run both a monitor and the projector. But as I said, you might run into resolution difficulties if the resolutions on the monitor and the projector don't match. The most elegant solution would be to get a new video card with two outputs that match the type of inputs on your monitor and projector.

I only have the one connection on the card. The pix was to illustrate which one I had. The people who will be using this system are less informed than I am, so I want to make it as simple as possible for them. No extra steps. So, will that card do what I want it to do?

I have one DSUB outlet on the back of the computer. I have two devices that need to use that connection. I can only use one at a time. If I have to use the other I need to swap the cables, take the monitor cable off and put the projector cable on.
