Thank you Mr. Reasonable. Fortunately I'm not there yet, not driving myself crazy.JimC wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 3:01 amYou can drive yourself crazy by trying to be totally sustainable in all your consumption. Make an effort to do the obvious things, sure, and also buy stuff that lasts, so it will be a long time before you have to replace them. Grow whatever you can manage in your situation (even if it's only a few pots of herbs) and buy local as much as possible...

Yeah, this has hit electric motor shops hard. Companies just buy a new motor and transitioning to sales isn't always realistic for a small shop.

Re: Sustainable Things
Our combined global economic system that allows things to made is already falling apart slowly. When it falls apart more quickly, starting from next year, the era of scavengers will parse seamlessly with sustainability. Nothing to see here.

That's a shame. I sell used underwear. Ebay. Quite the market for it.

This looks like a good resource to start exploring what brands are doing:

It's not free. But when looking at alternatives it became clear that many sites weren't designed to inform.

Does that only include flights on Boeing, or is it inclusive, including other carriers, flights of fantasy, and drug trips?Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 11:13 amAccording to the CEO of Boeing less than 20 percent of the world’s population has ever taken a single flight.
