Time Dilation and Human Lifespan

Post by aufbahrung » Wed Dec 22, 2021 8:51 pm

What percentage of the speed of light do you need to go for a single year flying in space to equate to a average lifespan of say seventy years here on Earth? Science question, some whimsical philosophical side also.

Using the Lorentz factor, the percentage of the speed of light needed should be around 99.99% to achieve a 1 in 70 time dilation.
