It is also illegal to keep a haggis as a pet or to run an unlicensed haggis farm. Haggis Farming Licences are only awarded to those crofters in the Outer Hebrides who provide the Haggis Tweed Mills with the long head hair from haggis from which the famous fabric is spun and then woven.

Simon Howie's vegetarian haggis is bloody lovely, and this is the time of year when it's more readily available in the shops here, thanks to Burns' Night.

Not sure how that belongs in a vegan thread.

Ah yes, the important business of trolling people who try to live in harmony with animals and the environment.

The miasma of sanctimony far too ripe in the thread. We mostly eat vegetarian but as a card carrying omnivore reserve the right to indulge my carnivore instincts.

IMNSHO many vegans are both fanatic and unrealistic :coffee:

I didn't realise vat-grown eel might be so triggering, but I guess that told us then. :tea:

We often eat vegetarian (including tonight, a pasta salad) but you would have to prise the cheese from my cold dead hand! :lay:

If we were adrift in a becalmed lifeboat you'd definitely want to eat the vegetarians first - and don't deny it.
