I forgot to mention the shell pasta, which makes it, when combined with the other ingredients, a warm salad, with some of the cheese melting...

Vegans make cheese from nuts, but I just can't bring myself to put 'nut cheese' in my mouth.

It is not cheese. Just as tofu steak is not steak. Why do vegans use non-vegan names? You have tofu cutlets and drumsticks. All processed of course just as the nut cheese is.

And a veggie sausage isn't made from meat. What's that all about eh?

Sausage is not purely a meat term but is a reference to how the ingredients have wrapped. There are plenty of non-meat sausages but a tofu cutlet of undefinable substance shaped into a lamb cutlet is trying to emulate its meat counter-part. Some are even dyed!

So you're comfortable with the flexible use of the term 'sausage', and I would guess 'burger' as well, but you don't feel quite so comfortable with 'cutlet' or 'cheese'. What about something like 'milk' or 'butter'? Would you feel better if these terms were reserved for dairy products or are you happy for them to go the way of the sausage?

I think I saw a porno once called The Way Of The Sausage. :tea:

Nut cheese is the hip new thing. I tried some and it was a moderately unpleasant experience though not actively revolting. I mean you could eat it if you ran out of pretty much everything and it probably wouldn't kill you, at least not immediately.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Who needs cheese made from nuts when the real thing is often lauded for its nutty flavor?
