A near miss

Post by mistermack » Wed Oct 21, 2015 4:12 pm

A huge asteroid will come close on Halloween. It will be about 310,000 miles away at it's closest. That's just 125 times the distance from New York to LA.

http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/201 ... n-asteroid

I was under the impression that all asteroids bigger than tens of metres across had been detected and declared safe. But the article says that this was only detected a couple of weeks ago.

That's no asteroid. That's a pumpkin. :read:

There's a much bigger object that will pass even closer on the same night!

Nothing better than a near miss, well within groping distance...

Groping was in the good old days. It's sexual assault now, without written consent.
And ten years on the sex-offenders register.

In my day, all my sisters' school friends got groped. If they had a nice ass. And they loved it. Even if you had no chance with them, they still liked being groped. Unless their body language told you quite clearly that it wasn't on. :(

:thinks: Actually, women were gropers too back then. Hey ho, it's all change.
