This beetle was fucking fantastic!

I went for a walk today down to the river, and on the way I passed a very distinctive beetle. It's body was about the size of my thumbnail and it had quite long legs. It had hard wing coverings like the ye olde regular beetles around here. But when I disturbed it, it opened up its wings and showed me its backside (the cheeky little devil). It had these bright blue and red lines across the back of its abdomen. Basically its abdomen was black with about 4 or 5 thin lines running across it. Very striking. I assume it was some sort of defensive warning. I only wish I had my camera with me.

Not a katydid (rather than beetle) by any chance?

Well, not this exact one, but mine was the same, except no extra bar on the bumper, and the steering wheel was on the correct side.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

The last one rolled off the sole remaining Brazilian production line just 4 days ago. No more will be made.
