An interesting article by Andrew Marr on the BBC site.
A book is a version of the world. If you do not like it, ignore it; or offer your own version in return.

I'll worship no man or god. Like the song says: "Take what you need and leave the rest". I'll take what I perceive as good and needful from anything that is offered to me, but I'll reserve judgment on the rest. I don't buy ideas in wholesale packages.

I browse ideas in wholesale packages, laugh at them, then mess up the shelf order to annoy the staff.

If I had to choose one thing/person that I had to worship it would be the sun, nothing we do would ever have happened without it.

Darwin was just a man with a good idea, worthy of praise but never worship.
We have no great war, no great depression.
Our great war is a spiritual war.
Our great depression is our lives.
