Do you lot still put fluoride and chloride in your water? We have not used that for years and fluoridation is illegal. If you want fluoride there are tablets.
Do you not understand that chloride is found in all natural waters, including the bank infiltrated water they supply to you in the taps in Holland?

It is important to realise that chlorination does not involve the negative ion, chloride, but molecular chlorine as an anti bacterial. Fluoridation, on the other hand, involves small concentrations of salts containing the negative fluoride ion...

The big expert again talking about something he has not got a clue about. We have no chloride or fluoride in our water. We take everything out of the water because it comes from the river Maas and the duinen. Then a small amount of calcium is added to bring it up to the required legal hardness. Nothing else is done to it. Swimming pools here dont use chlorine as purification.
BTW not all taps are supplied from the same source here but of course you would not realise that.

Given that the Netherlands would fit easily into our third largest lake, you lot's water management practices aren't really relevant to the US, though they may interest our anti-fluoridation folks. :swoon:

Everything is relevant! You just scale up. But of course you cant even build a dyke. That is why our engineers are building your water protections.

It's not chloride, it is a form of chlorine like bleach. It's used worldwide to kill residual bacteria in filtered water.

Your levies are an engineering laughing stock. We are talking about proper dykes that actually protect; ask the people of New Orleans.
It is not used here Tero in drinking water or swimming pools. It is old fashioned.

FFS. Your water contains chloride. All natural waters contain chloride.

Then you have chloride in all the food you eat. Heard of salt?
