If these guys are right, there'a 300,000-year gap between the asteroid strike and the die-off.

It was the flowers what done it. Dinos couldn't adapt to flowering plants. The plants won the arms race and the dinos went kabloowey 'cept for the birds, who are crafty buggers.

I like that hypothesis because it ends with flowers slaying thunder lizards. :flowers:

I saw these two on a NatGeo show. I'm no geologist, but they weren't convincing to me. They have to invalidate all the other evidence before their own theory gains credibility.

It'd be interesting to keep track of what happens to their theory when it's subjected to wider peer review. But this is a pretty good theory, too:
