More specialties that climate science is too broad and intellectually less rigorous to contain. Plasma physics, as in the study of the Sun which provides almost all the heat in the first place is also sorely lacking. Just looking at the course requirements for degrees in the climatology field, as well as what is possessed by the so called experts should immediately raise doubts. Sorely lacking in the prerequisite sciences.
Indenpendant lines of evidence from different scientific fields converging on the same answer strenghtens a theory. Not weakens it.

Re: Global Warming Hoax Confirmed
That is actually what set off the alarm bells - was diverse reports especially from biologists in the field that things were changing rather dramatically - migration, mountain islands notably, fish species, early blooming ....it was a long list as reports of change coalesced from different disciplines.
Then specific outcomes were looked for like a cooling stratosphere, declining sea ice in the Arctic
The tree line moving northward. Net glacial loss world wide.
Other areas of potential cause like solar radiation gain were eliminated as new satellites improved the data.
and even the isotopic proof that fossil carbon was the major increase in the atmosphere.
All these lines of evidence were explored and confirmed or an alternative explanation eliminated.
It's after that - where it gets very difficult to project as the outcomes in general were known but regionally difficult, droughts, extremes in temperatures both day and night and in duration, increase in intensity or frequency of storm systems ( intensity increased, frequency not )
Given that the driving force was human emissions there is no way to project those accurately nor the mix of competing gases like S02 which dims incoming radiation or methane which is 20 x more potent but short lived.
Regional impact forecasting is very much in it's infancy with some small success in the very vital monsoon patterns.
But particulates, ENSO reaction to a much warmer ocean, higher moisture content in the atmosphere all upped the complexity.

At least the US as the largest emitter has made some positive steps, closing coal plants, opening nuclear plants, more gas plants and lots of small initiatives for lower carbon footprints.
China is doing as much as it can within the limitations of modernizing where is needs ALL power sources and must do so or suffocate. They also see the opportunity for sustainable power and are building solar panels in a flood.

Ice Age or not, humans are despoiling the planet. I understand that your utterly selfish nature doesn't have a problem with that, any more than a vampire bat has a problem bleeding a cow to death.

Macdoc, you can write all that blather, and it means nothing. Because you can't show why CO2 is forcing the climate to change now, when it never did before.
And you can't show any warming over the last 16 years.
Blather all you like, the facts are still in your way.
If you can show why the planet regularly dives into an extreme cold glaciation period, when CO2 is at it's 100,000 year maximum, and why that can't happen this time, then you might get taken seriously.
And you can't show any warming over the last 16 years.

We will have a glaciation period. But your post is all over the place. 16 years has nothing to do with the next glaciation period.mistermack wrote:Macdoc, you can write all that blather, and it means nothing. Wrong. The world was hotter, and THEREFORE, there was a lot of CO2 in the air.Gawdzilla Sama wrote:mistermack, the world was hotter when there was a lot of CO2 in the air. That's a fact.
Heat up the oceans, and they give out CO2, because water can't hold as much CO2 when it warms. The heat came first, then the increased CO2. The evidence is there in the ice-cores.

I question what I hear, and CO2 fuelled AGW doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
I'm still open to peruasion, but not from arguments like "the consensus is.....".
I don't give a fuck what the consensus is, I want the facts to make sense.

Re: Global Warming Hoax Confirmed
So what? The ice cores prove that CO2 doesn't drive climate. They prove that warming causes the oceans to hold less CO2. Which we already knew.Gawdzilla Sama wrote:Except that I'm not talking about any period that you can find ice-cores for.
The same applied 180 mya as it did 1/2 mya.
If the oceans warmed 4 degrees, there would be LOADS more CO2 in the atmosphere. Again.
But we didn't get runaway warming, even when CO2 levels were five times as high.
