Learning more about fungi is giving me anxiety. You know about zombie fungus, but did you know that when scientists looked inside ants, preserved at the moment of death, they didn't find the fungus in their brains? --that gives me chills!

It's because The Netherlands is one of the worst tax havens in the world.

Dutch officials really don’t like it when someone calls their country a tax haven.

In 2009, the Obama administration did just that, naming the Netherlands as one of a number of countries where scores of major American firms had established subsidiaries in order to avoid paying U.S. taxes. In a press briefing, the White House also noted that, taken together with Bermuda and Ireland, the Netherlands claimed nearly a third of all foreign profits reported in 2003 by U.S. corporations.

Moreover, the chart shows income inequality ranking. The World Bank ranking concerns wealth inequality, aka wealth Gini. World average is 0.885. The only greater one is Netherlands with 0.9092. List here. The table is sortable. Sort by column titled "Wealth Gini (2019)"
