So, what we see here is that the ESTIMATED (IOW, wild-assed guesses) for pretechnological temperatures, shown in blue are just as accurate as the temperature projections from the various climate models, which is really not at all. You see, if you look carefully at the second graph you'll see an interesting bit of data that neither you nor the legend point out, which is the "grey areas" above and below the blue line.

Have a look at them now. I'll wait...

What those grey areas show are the margins of error for the WAGs. Those margins of error subsume pretty much every recorded temperature through about 1960 on the plus side, which means that the blue line is exactly a WAG and could be higher or lower than estimated. Consider the fact that the Warmist faction has been diddling with the actual thermometer temperature records of the known past to "adjust" them so that they make the past look cooler, this makes the increases lately look much worse than they actually are. Not only that, but the relative scale of the graph is deceptive because it makes all the temperature changes look large when they are not large, they are substantially less than one degree C over the whole period.

Then there's the choice of 1000 years as the cutoff, which is also deceptive. Expand that horizontal timeline by 50,000 years and I doubt you're going to find any temperature measurements today that exceed WAG estimates and their margins for error. In other words, there's little to no sign of temperature excursions that go beyond anything the planet has already experienced many times in the past as the planetary temperature oscillates due to the many factors involved.

Garbage in, garbage out.

We've been lied to by "climate scientists" for so long (it's been since the seventies for me) and they've been caught with their thumbs on the scales so many times, and they've been proven WRONG in their predictions every single time, so we simply don't believe them anymore, and with good reason, because they are bought-and-paid for stooges for the Global Government conspiracy that's been growing since Woodrow Wilson that is now using AGW as it's new scare tactic to frighten people into obedience.

Fuck them all, they are liars and charlatans and have been caught at it. We know what they want, they want money, power and influence and they get it by lying, fabricating, falsifying, changing and simply making shit up so that they will remain in the good graces of the Popes of Political Power and their lackeys and stooges at the UN and the IPCC, among most other government agencies. if you take data from glaciers alone, the error bar gets bigger the farther you go back. Yet, it is till hotter now than any older years. By about 0.6 at least.
