Maybe Like Dust Bowl Days? Low Water on the Mississippi

Shallow water linked to years of drought has severely limited navigation on the Mississippi River, making it harder for farmers to get their corn, soybeans and wheat to market. Chad Hart is a professor of Agricultural Economics at Iowa State University in Ames and joins Host Steve Curwood to talk about the climate connections with the midwestern drought similar to the Dust Bowl Era and how it’s affecting food commodities.

We should go pack to using sheep and goats for lawn mowing, it's 100% natural, feeds a lot less crap in the atmosphere, can actually leave fertilizer onsite, and makes for delicious, grass fed animals.

My battery mower gets charged during the day, when the sun is on our solar panels...

Don't think that matters unless you are off grid. Electrons are electrons and feed in tariff applies regardless.

The feed in tariff (paltry as it is) is not relevant in this case. During the day, with no lights and mainly only the fridge and computer running, we produce more electricity from the panels than we use. When the charger is on, it takes a little of that excess before it gets exported to the grid. Basically, my mower's running energy is carbon neutral...
