Plant taxonomy guide

Post by Dory » Mon Aug 30, 2010 12:40 pm

I really want a full guide that fully breaks down different types of plants we have in a taxonomic order that makes sense.

Thanks,

Tree of Life

Click on root of the tree on the left hand side. Then click on Eukaryotes and so on...

You might have spotted this already, but in case not, when you put the name of a plant into wikepedia, you get something like this for "Oak" at the top.

Kingdom: Plantae

Phylum: Magnoliophyta

Class: Magnoliopsida

Order: Fagales

Family: Fagaceae

Genus: Quercus
L.
Species
See List of Quercus species

An Oak is a tree or shrub in the genus Quercus
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
