So what you're saying is that I wasn't wrong.

Intriguing moon water source found in glass beads from impacts.

I'm not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens.

I walked into the ocean on Cuba's eastern end to cool off 20 years ago and it felt exactly like stepping into a hot bathtub....I was shocked.
Cuba was in an epic drought, even the cactus were dying at that end of the island and vultures were sipping from leaks in the fresh water pipe along the road.
AGW certainly hit home ......Godzilla would have enjoyed it.

Concentrated solar power (CSP) uses mirrors to focus heat from the Sun to drive a steam turbine and generate electricity.

While CSP was once the great hope for replacing coal and gas-fired generation, it's now generally considered to have been eclipsed by cheaper forms of renewable generation, like solar panels and wind turbines.

Recently, however, it's been making a quiet comeback.

The reason for this boils down to three words that describe one of the major challenges of decarbonising the grid: overnight energy storage.

The CSIRO's Renewable Energy Storage Roadmap, released last week, predicts that by 2050, CSP will be the cheapest way to store energy for 8–24 hours.

Developing this "medium-duration" storage is a necessary step to switching off coal- and gas-fired generation that produce most of the power we use at night.
A very interesting article, describing a number of new, innovative ways to use solar energy.

Saw one in S Australia ....really space looking.

We were very impressed with the whole power setup there with a combination of dense windpower, solar panels, solar steam and Musk battery.....that's the future.

I thought with those they heated molten salt which stores well for power generation later.

That's an option for solar towers...

Even the Saudi's are in on it

Siemen's has built 70 already
Concentrated solar thermal power is worldwide becoming a more and more important source for power generation. The reasons for this are obvious: The sun is an inexhaustible source for power production. And it is not only a free fuel source but also a complete emissions-free source. Steam turbine generator sets convert solar energy into electricity. Instrumentation and controlls help to make optimal use of every single sun beam. We equipped more than 70 CSP plants all over the world and we are the market leader in that field.

Indeed. The sticking points in exporting renewable energy out of the sub tropics are predominantly social, political and economic disparities between countries and regiorns, rather than technical. But even if we had access to carbon free energy, without social, political and economic reforms it would only mean we'd be able to extract the last kilo of ore, sluice the last litre of toxic waste, and clear the last hectare of forest more energy efficiently.
