Salt is soluble, but it does not evaporate. That's why we get salt lakes and why rainwater is not salty. You can work the rest out yourself, yes?
What planet did you just arrive from?
I have always lived on the planet where salt does not evaporate. What about you?

Do you have a degree in the bleedin obvious?
Or are you researching for a book?

Rain is wet. :whisper: Put that in too, if you like.

The salt in the ocean is actually fish spunk.

You definitely have not. Otherwise you would be able to decide if the ocean would be incredibly salty, or not salty at all.

Not that I want to for a minute imply that MM was making an intelligent point, but he was talking about a situation were there was no evaporation.

Ah, thanks. My bad. Without evaporation the water cycle would cease and salt would stay put wherever it was at the time of cessation.

No, I don't think so.
Erosion isn't the only way that salt could get into the ocean. You have volcanic activity on the sea floor, and the movement of the tectonic plates, with subduction and sea floor spreading, so that there is plenty of continuous interaction between rocks and ocean water.

Over billions of years, dissolved salt would build up, and it would have nowhere to go, without evaporation returning it to rock in dried up seas.
So like I said, I don't know, but I'm guessing that the ocean would be saturated brine, without evaporation.

Jesus Christ, give it a rest. I believe in equal rights for everybody and always have, feel free to show me where I haven't. Feminism not only doesn't have the monopoly on equal rights, judging by their actions and what they say and do they have never been about equal rights. Though I suppose without a strawman to attack you will have nothing but a toxic ideology so carry on.

I believe in equal rights, but how do you equalise men with women?
I don't want women having the right to use the mens bogs. I can't pee if they are looking.
I can't pee if I'M looking. I need to be able to concentrate.

Also, I don't want women having to play best of five at Wimbledon. It might be equal, but it would produce top women players who look like Kratochvilova. Please, not that.

And I don't want to see men in mini skirts. I really don't.

Well I believe in equal opportunity not equality of outcome as that is some pinko shit right there. Sexual dimorphism isn't going anywhere so everyone is just going to have to accept that the sexes are different.
