Combine a few ideas here. Robots. Reproductive technology. Antiaging. Space elevator. Superior space drives. Habitats in space.
Anyone who wants the treatment that lets them live forever gets sterilised, and sent up the space elevator and onto a space habitat, which uses its superior space drive to head for another star system (probably taking several centuries to get there), and carrying frozen human embryos of genetically superior stock. When they get there, their robots build new habitats on the local equivalent of Mars, and the embyros are thawed out to colonise the place. The ageless colonists become the new elders ( at least until those frozen embryos grow up and decide to eliminate the elders).
What will life be like in 100 years time?

One thing you can be sure of.
England still won't have won the World Cup, and they will still be thinking that they SHOULD win it next time.
There might be intelligent grass, that rapidly grows when it's stood on, but it will still be two teams of eleven divers and fakers. I hope.

In the U.S., should we still be around, we'll be arguing over whether phasers are covered under the 2nd Amendment. Hillary Clinton will be the first undead woman to run for President, her GOP opponent will be a genetically enhanced hamster. Justin Bieber will tour with Frank Sinatra's hologram and Texas will implant Bible chips in all unborn babies. Florida, now detached from the mainland and floating on giant pool noodles, will sail 90 miles south and build a bridge to Havana.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
