The trouble with elk is they don't live around here, maybe not suited for the country? Lot's of animal lovers would protect them from the cruel gunmen if they did.

The elk and the red deer are very similar. Elk are just a weeny bit heavier built. Red deer run and jump a bit better. Not much in it.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
