Unless the world decides it looked better as an arid wasteland. Even then though a Nuclear Winter in Australia would probably take the temperature down to the mid 20's and there would still be radioactive mutants bragging they spent Christmas having a rat and aborigine barbeque on Bondi Glass beach.
