Multimillionaire Dennis Tito wants a middle aged couple for a trip to Mars in 2018.
He is planning, and working towards a launch then to do a fly by of Mars. The couple who go will be the first to get close to the red planet, though they will not land. Closest will be 160 kms from the surface. They plan to use the shit from the two people, stuffed into plastic bags, to line the space capsule to provide a degree of protection from cosmic radiation. I kid you not.
A total of more than 500 days in space. Any volunteers?
