Re: Spooks, Day 8
Thanks for the tips & game JA
And it's funny because it occurred to me too late about Oblivion's situation. Generally scum will want to get rid of the clever or more experienced townies... so, when she wasn't gone, I thought it to be a bit strange.
I found the game to be much much harder to pick out the scum. Could be because I didn't have much time during the day rounds to post & thoroughly read what was going on... or it could just be that the playing with new people makes it tricky to tell. Or both!
Perhaps allowing night posting may not be such a bad idea. It has to balance out. I know it has been said that speaking during the night can influence the night moves... but, speaking during the night also allows townies who aren't able to post during the day, the space to get out their thoughts. So it may give out valuable information for scum on who to best kill... but, it will also give out valuable info to townies.
I thought that constantly accusing Animavore was a distraction though. Maybe because on one particular day round, his actions towards him being voted off seemed indifferent and he didn't even realize he could save himself. A scum player would not have done that - also, because he'd have a team backing him up on what he should have done.
Uselesstwit, you played a really good game. And oblivion too, obviously. Good job, guys.
As for Skinny's posts - I guess a lot of people didn't know what to make of his posts on the first day. All I can say, is that some of those videos you post, Skinny - I am transfixed to them. They're pretty appropriate and very funny.
Anyway, good game! Thanks everyone! I wish I could have been more involved this time around, but I still enjoyed logging in to see what was going on.

Everything almost unravelled thanks to the damn Town Bomb. My first kill was also my last.

You twats! WTF was the sudden change in vote about?
Fuck I should've stayed home instead of enjoying my day on the beach with a ball of cans.

Re: Spooks, Day 8
If I'd had been left on my own with Ani and Useless on the last day I'm pretty sure I'd have whacked Ani.
Following Blip's lead was the only course for the game I played, which was straight down the middle. I'd have expected her to do the same.
In a way Useless flicking on and off in the thread was a distraction which if it had gone unnoticed and therefore hadn't flagged as sus and then got the all clear, I would have been more sus. The timing smacked of communication with Oblivion. Oh well, you live and learn. The more I think about it, the more I admire the gameplan and orchestration of oblivion.
It's hard picking up the speed and action of a game like this but it was fun.
I had no player history to work on.
I haven't read the scum thread yet. I'm kind of dreading it.
Onwards...

Re: Spooks, Day 8
What do you mean you would've "whacked" me?
you people are all crazy. I was the most open, honest and clearly town player. I gave you a bone and you didn't bite. I had oblivion fingered days ago. Her "me-so-innocent" ploy was obvious.
I'm casting shame on all of you.

Give them a break ani, not everyone realises you play like even more of a prick when you're innocent
Re: Spooks, Day 8
No. I won't "give them a break". They should be made to wear the cow-bell of shame and then frog-marched through the town so the peasantry can pelt them with tomatoes. Green ones.virphen wrote:Give them a break ani, not everyone realises you play like even more of a prick when you're innocent

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Sorry Ani. It was my fault because I was fooled by Useless.
I'll make a nice chutney with the green tomatoes though

gg JA. thanks
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
